​Son of Stone Named One of the Top Rising Songwriters

Son of Stone (SoS) has officially been named one of Sweden’s Top Rising Songwriters/Artists of 2025 by STIM, the country's leading music rights organization (equivalent to ASCAP in the US and PRS in the UK).

 

SoS brings a unique voice to the modern rock scene — one shaped by an ongoing career in the global big tech industry, having worked at Microsoft, Nokia, and Jabra, and collaborated with most of the other leading tech companies like Google and Amazon.

"By day, I work in tech building products used by billions. By night, I write songs to disconnect, recharge, and stay human," says Son of Stone. "Music keeps me balanced — so being recognized by STIM as one of the top rising songwriters truly means the world to me"

Since 2019, SoS has applied a Silicon Valley mindset to music, releasing over 400 original songs — using sprint cycles, quick iterations, and a "fail fast, build faster" approach to drop at least one new song every week.

 

Inspired by 90s legends like Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Foo Fighters, SoS creates what he calls "Modern Rock v3.0", a sound that’s as emotional as it is explosive, blending alternative rock with a new modern sound.

The STIM award marks an important milestone and signals that rock is not just alive but evolving in the hands of creators who bridge the worlds of technology and art.
